Hang in There!

Anyone who knows me, will be aware of my passion for sustainability both in my jewellery making and in everyday life. So it was lovely to have the opportunity to talk more about my ethical jewellery practice with the lovely Maya Vertigans - owner of sustainable homeware brand Sustainer Container

Amongst all of the challenges that 2020 has posed, one of the positives has been the rise in recognition of Black-owned businesses and getting a mention in Condé Nast Traveller as part of the Janet’s List October Pop-Up at Coco de Mer Luxury Lingerie Boutique in London’s Covent Garden was a real treat!

It’s been great to see the improving profile of Black jewellers not only from the customers perspective but also amongst our peers in the industry. I was honoured to be included in a list of ‘Black Jewellers to follow’ in a great blogpost by American jewellery designer Metalicious.
