Jewellery Making Workshops
Learn to make your own unique jewellery - lost wax carving
If you like the idea of spending an afternoon making your own jewellery (on your own or with a friend), this is the perfect experience for you.
Located in the centre of Ealing Broadway, this class is suitable for beginners - no previous jewellery making experience is required just an enthusiasm for learning!
A jewellery making workshop for beginners, using the ancient process of lost wax casting.
What does the session involve?
During this relaxed 2.5 hour class, jewellery artist Ange will guide you through the process of designing and making your own ring or pendant, which will then be cast in silver.
Through the course of the session, Ange will explain the ancient process of lost wax casting, whilst teaching you how to safely use a range of tools to produce your unique jewellery item.
By the end of the session, you will have created a wax master, which Ange will send away for casting in silver. She will then hand finish and polish each piece, before posting them back to you.
Do I need to bring anything?
No, all tools and materials are supplied by Ange. You’ll be carving blue wax, which can be a little messy but most of it stays on your table.
How many people can attend?
A maximum of 6 people can attend each session.
Where are the workshops held?
The workshops are held at OPEN Ealing Arts Centre, Unit 14 School Lane, Dickens Yard, Ealing, W5 2TD.
The nearest station is Ealing Broadway, which serves the Elizabeth, Central and District Lines.
